Ampache: Build Your Own Music Streaming Server
What is Ampache?
Ampache is a web-based audio/video streaming application and file manager. It was initially written to leverage Apache's Mod_mp3 and later added streaming methods, allowing you to access your own videos and music from any internet-enabled device.
Simply put, Ampache lets you access your music and videos from anywhere.
Imagine turning your computer into a private version of Spotify. You can not only listen at home but also play your collected music freely on your phone or tablet when you're out.

How to Use
After the app is installed, official adaptations have been made. It defaults to your Lazycat account, allowing you to log in directly.

The homepage is in English. First, change the display language to Chinese by clicking "Settings" on the left.

Click "Update" at the bottom.

Click "Music" on the left. You'll see the interface has changed to Chinese.

Click the "Admin" icon on the left to add a directory.

Select the type as "local", choose the root directory "/" as the path, and click "Add".

Click the "Admin" icon on the left -> "Show Catalogs".

Click "Let's Go!" to start the scan.
After the scan finishes, return to the homepage. You'll see all your music has been loaded.

You can click on a song to play it or add it to a playlist.

Besides playing in the web interface, Ampache allows you to download m3u playlists. You can also use Subsonic-compatible clients to play music from your Ampache server.

Of course, the most convenient way is to use it directly via the Lazycat mobile client.
Summary
Ampache's interface might not be as flashy as commercial software, but its features are absolutely sufficient.
Most importantly, your music remains entirely in your own hands. You don't have to worry about your favorite songs suddenly being removed from a platform.
If you're tired of subscription fees from various music platforms or want complete control over your music collection, why not give Ampache a try?
