Firefly III: A Powerful Personal Finance Management Platform
What is Firefly III?
Firefly III is an open-source, fully self-hosted, and isolated personal bookkeeping system. It allows you to build your own personal financial management service, helping users record and track income and expenses.
Simply put, it's a "personal assistant" that helps you manage your money.

User Experience
After the application is installed, a default user is pre-configured, allowing you to go directly to the home page.

The interface is already in Chinese by default. Here, we'll just fill in a bank name arbitrarily and click submit.

Upon entering the home page, there is a system guide you can follow to see the main features.

This area shows the current balance of your asset accounts.

You can adjust the display timeframe from here.

Don't be intimidated by its many features; it's actually quite simple to use:
Recording Income & Expenses: See exactly how much you spent each day and where your money came from. Go to Transactions -> Expense to create a new transaction.
Alternatively, click the + icon in the top right corner. This lists all the functions available for adding new items.
Budget Management: You can set budgets for different types of expenses each month.
Categories & Tags: For example, "Dining", "Transportation", "Entertainment", etc.

Within the reports section, you can see:
- How much more you spent this month compared to last month
- Which spending category is the largest
- Trends in your income and expenses

Summary
If you want to seriously manage your finances and prioritize data privacy and security,
then Firefly III can be an excellent choice.
