Gonic: Your Personal Music Streaming Server
What is Gonic?
In simple terms, Gonic lets you set up your own "Netease Cloud Music" at home, but with a music library you fully control. It's based on the Subsonic API, which means you can access your music using various clients on your phone, computer, or web browser.
Core Advantages
- Lightweight and Fast: Written in Go, it has minimal resource usage.
- Supports Multiple Formats: Supports all common formats like MP3, FLAC, OPUS, APE, M4A, WAV, etc.
- Real-time Transcoding: Automatically transcodes high-bitrate music into formats suitable for mobile devices, saving data.
- Multi-user Support: Each user has their own playlists and settings.
- Last.fm Integration: Automatically scrobbles to Last.fm to record your listening habits.

How to Use
After the app is installed, open the login page.

It's already integrated with Lazycat Microservice login. After opening the app, just click login.

It can connect to Last.fm and ListenBrainz, both of which offer music recommendation services, but they are generally not used within China.

My music files are in the Lazycat Cloud Drive /Music directory. Click 'scan now' in the interface. After completion, you will see the directory. It scanned out songs by Jay Chou.

For transcoding settings, simply enter * and save.

Gonic is compatible with the Subsonic API, so there are many clients you can use:
Mobile Clients
- Android: DSub (free), Symfonium (paid but feature-rich)
- iOS: play:Sub, Soundwaves
Desktop Clients
- Cross-platform: Sublime Music, Strawberry Music Player
- Web Clients: Jamstash, Airsonic-Refix
I installed one on my phone.

It also supports subsonic. Configure the address.

Summary
Gonic is particularly suitable for music enthusiasts with some technical ability. It's not as complex as Plex nor as heavyweight as Jellyfin; it focuses solely on doing one thing well: music streaming.
Once set up, you have your own personal music cloud, allowing you to listen to high-quality music anytime, anywhere, without worrying about copyright issues or subscription expirations.
