As someone who has tried numerous blog systems, Halo is definitely one of the most recommended open-source blog systems available today!

Having used everything from WordPress, Hexo, to Ghost, I found them either too bloated, too complex, or lacking in features.

Then I discovered Halo. It can be described as: "Simple yet powerful."

In short, Halo is a modern blog system developed in Java, featuring a beautiful interface, powerful functionality, and excellent extensibility.

🛠️ How to Use

After installing Halo from the Lazycat Store, open the homepage. Note: This is the blog's admin panel

Click Login and give your site a name

Initialization may take a few minutes. Once processed, you'll enter the main dashboard:

Click Posts on the left sidebar. There's a default post. Let's create a new one.

Enter some content. It supports standard Markdown syntax, code highlighting, tables, and mathematical formulas. Click Publish.

You can see it's now there.

Open your blog's frontend to see the result: https://halo.your-lazycat-name.heiyu.space/

If you don't like the look, you can change the theme under Themes in the left sidebar.

Under Plugins on the left, there's a default search plugin. You can add other commonly used ones.

Recommended common plugins: Comment plugin, SEO plugin, Analytics plugin, Image processing plugin.

Choose to install online or locally. After installation, enable it in the plugin list.

As a modern blog system, Halo truly combines aesthetics, functionality, and performance.
