What is Baserow?

Getting Started Guide

After installing the application, open the homepage and first register a user.

Create a workspace. You can use the built-in templates or skip this step for now. I'll select the IT template for demonstration.

Add information and proceed by clicking 'Next' through the steps.

Create your first database. Choose "Start with a template" or "Start from scratch". It's recommended for beginners to try a template first to get a feel for it.

Enter the main interface.

Design Your Table Structure

  • Text Field: Store names, descriptions, etc.
  • Number Field: Prices, quantities, ratings
  • Single Select/Multiple Select: Status, category, tags
  • Date Field: Deadlines, creation times
  • Link Field: Link data from other tables

Import Existing Data

If you already have an Excel or CSV file, you can import it directly. Field types will be automatically recognized.

Note: If your data contains Chinese characters, select the encoding: Encode, Chinese. You can preview the data below. The result after import:

API Integration

Baserow provides a REST API for integration with other tools. For example:

  • Automatically add data to Baserow after website form submissions
  • Schedule data synchronization with other systems
  • Use Python scripts for batch data processing
