Mendako: Build Your Own Private Image Repository
What is Mendako?
Simply put, Mendako is a self-hosted image management tool. Imagine you have a collection of images—maybe design assets, memes, wallpapers, or other things—usually scattered across various folders, making them a pain to find.
Mendako solves this problem. It looks a bit like those online image sites (such as certain anime image websites), but the key point is: It's completely private and fully under your control.

Usage Guide
After installing the application, open the registration page. Chinese is not currently supported.

Enter the main page.

Create your first board. You can create different categories, for example, one for work materials, one for life photos, and one for memes. They are independent and well-organized.

Test the image upload function.

It is recommended to establish your own tagging system:
- Basic Attributes: Color, dimensions, format, etc.
- Content Description: People, animals, scenes, etc.
- Usage Category: Work, life, study, etc.
- Emotional Tone: Cute, funny, inspirational, etc.

- When uploading, you can batch apply the same tags to multiple images.

- Combined Tag Search: For example, search
cat + cuteto find cute cat pictures. - Exclusion Search: Use
-tagnameto exclude unwanted content. - Filter by dimensions like time, size, etc.

Summary
Mendako is suitable for those who:
- Have a large number of images to manage
- Value privacy and don't want to store images on third-party services
If you just want to store a few photos simply, using a cloud drive is sufficient. But if you genuinely need a multi-tag image management system, Mendako is definitely worth a try.
