Appwrite
Open-source self-hosted backend cloud: ready-to-use auth, database, storage and realtime for your apps, with a localized console and built-in MCP server for AI assistants
Appwrite is a well-known open-source self-hosted backend cloud platform (a private Firebase alternative). Deployed on your LazyCat microserver, it gives any of your self-hosted apps ready-to-use backend capabilities: · Authentication — sign-up/sign-in/email verification/OAuth out of the box · Databases — visual table builder in the console, SDK access, row-level permissions per user · Storage — file upload/download, image compression & preview, bucket management · Realtime — UI updates instantly when data changes (WebSocket) · Messaging — send messages via email/SMS/push channels LazyCat highlights: · Fully localized console with a built-in onboarding tour · Built-in MCP (Model Context Protocol) server: AI assistants can auto-discover and call 10 tools (create tables, query data, ...); in-app developer docs with one-click full-document Markdown copy · Password-free sessions after first sign-in · All data stays on local data volumes across upgrades and restarts Note: this is a trimmed build without the Functions runtime and the MongoDB documents-database option. Register an admin account on first use (the app has its own auth system).
