ProxView PVE Monitor

ProxView PVE Monitor

Proxmox VE and Proxmox Backup Server multi-site read-only monitoring centers for lazy cat microservers uniformly view nodes, virtual machines, containers, backup status, historical trends and operating alarms.

Description

ProxView is a multi-site read-only monitoring application for Proxmox VE and Proxmox Backup Server. It can summarize multiple sets of independent PVE, PVE clusters and PBS servers into a simple monitoring page, suitable for use in home laboratories, small computer rooms and multi-node virtualization environments. Applications obtain monitoring data through read-only API Token and will not start, stop, migrate, delete or modify nodes, virtual machines, containers and backup resources in the PVE. The main functions include: Add and monitor multiple sets of Proxmox VE and PBS simultaneously. Check PVE node online status, cluster Quorum, CPU, memory, disk, Swap, load, and I/O Wait. Check the node's CPU model, kernel version, runtime and management address. View the running status, CPU, memory, disks and runtime of the virtual machine and LXC container. View the CPU and memory historical curves of nodes and virtual machines, and support the 1-hour, 24-hour and 7-day ranges. View PBS Datastore capacity, utilization, estimated write full time, and number of backup snapshots. View the most recent backup times for each virtual machine, container, and host. Provides alerts such as nodes being offline, cluster losing Quorum, CPU/memory being too high, PBS being unreachable, storage capacity being too high, backup not being updated for a long time, GC or Verify failure. Support push notifications such as SMTP mail. Support custom alarm thresholds, alarm levels, continuous acknowledgements, repeated reminders and fault recovery notifications. Support site configuration import and export. Use your Lazy Cat WeChat account to automatically log in without setting up a separate ProxView username and password. use method Before using it, you need to prepare a set of Proxmox VE or Proxmox Backup Server that can be accessed through the local area network. When adding a PVE, it is recommended to first create a dedicated read-only user and API Token in the PVE, and grant the PVEAuditor role on the root path/. If Privilege Separation is enabled when creating a Token, you need to add PVEAuditor permissions to the user and API Token respectively. Enter in ProxView: Settings → Sites → Add new site Fill in the following information: Name: Site name, such as "Family PVE" Type:Proxmox VE Base URL: https://PVE IP address:8006 API token ID: For example, monitor@pve! proxview API token secret: The Secret generated when creating a Token When PVE uses self-signed certificates by default, please do not check Verify TLS certificate. The Base URL must be filled in the PVE native API address, for example: https://192.168.1.10:8006 Don't fill in the browser access domain name proxy by the lazy cat login gateway, otherwise you will return a login page instead of the PVE API. Select Proxmox Backup Server when adding PBS, use PBS port 8007 for the Base URL, and configure a PBS API Token with read-only Audit privileges: https://192.168.1.20:8007 Click Test connection after completing the filling. After the connection test is successful and saves the site, ProxView will automatically start collecting and displaying monitoring data. instructions for use ProxView is a monitoring tool, not a PVE management console. It does not provide high-risk operations such as creating, starting, shutting down, migrating or deleting virtual machines. Applications need to gain local area network access to connect to the PVE/PBS API. When using external notification channels such as email, Telegram, and Slack, you also need to allow applications to access the Internet. Target PVE/PBS must be accessible from the network where Lazy Cat Microservices is located.
