OOTT

OOTT

OOTT is used to continuously discover local area network devices and log events and send reminders when new devices appear, IP changes, or devices are brought back online.

Description

##Functional characteristics - local area network device discovery: Continuously discover device changes within the local area network through ARP, mDNS, SSDP, DHCP, and optional SNMP. - Device event record: Save events such as the appearance of new devices, IP changes, manufacturer changes, and re-launch to facilitate review of network dynamics. - Equipment ledger maintenance: Unknown equipment can be registered as known equipment on the Devices page, and the name, owner and equipment type can be supplemented. - Status panel: You can view the operating status, recent scan results and exception prompts of each scanner on the Status page. - Multi-end access: Web, desktop, iOS and Android clients all access the backend through the same set of REST APIs. ###First use process 1. The `OOTT API Key` needs to be confirmed and recorded in the configuration wizard. This value needs to be filled in when the Web, desktop, or mobile is connected for the first time. 2. Open the application address in the browser `https://oott. Your box name.heiyu.space/`. The portal will first take you to the `/web` of the OOTT Web UI. When it is not configured for the first time, it will usually stop at `Settings` routing and pop up the `Backend configuration` dialog box. 3. Enter `https://ott. Your box name.heiyu.space/api` in `Base URL of your OOTT server's API (OOTT backend API address)`. You must write '/api' here, not just the site root address. 4. Enter the 'OOTT API Key' recorded during installation in the 'API key'. 5. Click Test first. Press this actual measurement, the button will change to Passed status after the test passes, and `It works!` will appear at the bottom of the page. Prompt. 6. Then click Save. After saving successfully,`Settings saved successfully` will appear at the bottom of the page, and at the same time, the currently saved `Base URL` and the masked `API key` will begin to be displayed at the top of the `Settings` page. 7. After saving, go to 'Home' and confirm that the notification area, device statistics and scanner summary can be seen on the home page; according to this measurement, for the first time, you can see notifications such as 'new devices found on your network' and the 'Devices / Scanners' panel on the right. 8. If you use a desktop or mobile client, also fill in the same API address `https://oott. Your box name.heiyu.space/api` and the same API Key on its settings page. ###Daily usage 1. First look at Home. Here, you can directly press `New / Old / All` to switch the notification view, and simultaneously view `Devices 'statistics and`Scanners' summary on the right side, which is suitable for the first check of "Are there any new changes in the network today?" 2. If a notification such as 'new devices found on your network' appears on the front page, go to the 'Devices' page immediately and view the 'Not registered' view first; the current interface will directly list the 'Name','Owner','MAC Address','IP Address','Last Seen','Vendor' and other columns to make it easier to confirm whether it is a device you recognize first. 3. For equipment whose use has been confirmed, you can continue to open the right operation menu or equipment details in Devices to supplement the registration information; if you just want to quickly inspect, you can also leave it in an unregistered state and wait until more events occur in the future. Organize it together. 4. During daily inspections, it is recommended to open the Status page to confirm whether the scanner is still working. According to this actual measurement, common status copies will be displayed as `ARP Scanner = Running`,`mDNS / SSDP / DHCP = Listening`, and `SNMP = Not started`; if these states are not refreshed for a long time, priority will be given to checking network visibility rather than front-end configuration. 5. When you need to change the box address again, replace the API Key, or connect the same deployment to another client, go to the Settings page and use Re-configure. This page will display the currently saved `Base URL`, the masked `API key` and the theme settings, which is suitable for use as a maintenance entry for connection configuration. 6. When you want to connect to the desktop, mobile, or write your own script to tune the interface, directly open `API Docs (Interface Document)`, which is `https://oott.your box name.heiyu.space/api/docs`, and use Swagger UI to view the actual request path and authentication method.
