Strata

Self-hosted environmental sound mixer that supports local music library, remote audio download, segment management and mixing presets.

Description

Strata is a self-hosted ambient sound mixer that superimposes music, white noise, natural sounds, podcast clips or other audio into a personal sound scene suitable for work, reading, meditation, sleep or relaxation. ##Main functions - Multi-track playback simultaneously: Add multiple audios to the Beds area and play them in a loop at the same time. - Sequential playback queue: Add audio to the Queue area and play it in sequence. You can drag and drop it to adjust the sequence. - Independent volume for each track: The volume can be adjusted individually for each audio, and there is also a global volume at the top. - URL download: After pasting the audio or video link, automatically extract the audio and save it to the local music library. (Youtube needs Page Pig Network) - Segment management: Supports automatic recognition of chapters, and you can also manually edit audio segments. - Save preset: Save the current mixing status and restore it with one click. - Default preset: You can set common sound scenes as default. - Music library management: Search and organize audio by title, channel, and mood tags. - Playback statistics: Check recent playings, commonly used audio and listening duration. When you open Strata, you will see three main pages: - Mixer: Mixing workbench used to play, stack, queue, and save presets. - `Library`: Music library used to upload, download, edit and find audio. - `Stats`: Statistics page, used to check playback duration and commonly used audio. When using it for the first time, it is recommended to enter Library to add audio first. ### 2. Add audio to the music library After entering the Library page, you can add audio in two ways: 1. Upload local audio files. 2. Paste the URL and let Strata download audio automatically. When downloading using a URL, Strata calls yt-dlp and ffmpeg to extract audio in the background. After the download is completed, the audio will appear in the music library, and the title, cover, channel and segment information will be automatically carried as much as possible. If the download fails, you usually need to check: - Whether the link is accessible. - Whether the source website is restricted. - Whether the link is restricted by login, region, or copyright. ### 3. Organize audio information Open an audio in the music library and you can edit it: - title - Channel or source - Mood label - cover map - segmentation information
