ActivityWatch is an open source automatic time tracking tool that quietly records how much time you spend on which window and which application every day without your knowledge without manually checking in. It is summarized and presented in the form of charts and Timeline through built-in Web Kanban. Unlike most time-tracking products, all ActivityWatch data only exists on your own device and does not pass through any third-party servers. When installed in the Lazy Cat Box, ActivityWatch becomes your private time tracking backend. Install the ActivityWatch client on a Windows, macOS or Linux computer you use every day, point the server address to the box, and the client's window and on-hook data will be reported here in real time. Data from multiple devices is aggregated in the same kanban, the Activity page counts by day and category, the Timeline page displays minute-level details, and the Stopwatch page allows you to manually time temporary tasks directly in the browser-three perspectives cover most work review scenarios. This app is suitable for users who want to figure out their time allocation but are concerned about data privacy in the cloud: programmers want to know what percentage of writing code and swiping the web, freelancers need to reconcile their hours by project, or just want to use real data to review weekly attention levels. All SQLite database files fall in the persistence directory of the box, and backup and migration are in your own hands.
