Whenly

Whenly is a privacy-focused multi-person time coordination tool used to quickly create votes, collect available time for participants, and help sponsors choose the most suitable time. It does not require registration of accounts, does not track users, and has no advertising. After the initiator creates a vote, he only needs to send the public link to the participants, and everyone can directly open the link to vote. ##What is suitable for doing - Coordinate time for friends gatherings, family activities, and community activities. - Collection of time for small team meetings, online discussions, and offline appointments. - Collect preferences across multiple dates, time periods, or text options. - I want to avoid lightweight voting scenarios such as registering accounts, complex forms, and chat swiping. ##Core Features - Create a date-time poll, a full-day date poll, or a regular text option poll. - Support the three voting states of "can","may" and "no". - Support participant comments and facilitate supplementary explanations. - Automatic recommendation options are given to help sponsors quickly determine the best time. - After creation, a public voting link and administrator link are generated. - Support QR code sharing. - Support the export of calendar files after voting. - Supports automatic cleanup of expired votes, which are retained for 30 days by default, and can be adjusted when creating. ##How to use ### 1. Create a new poll After opening Whenly, click 'New poll' in the top right corner of the page. Fill in the following on the creation page: - `What are we deciding?`：Vote for titles such as "Weekend Dinner" or "Time for next week's meeting". - `A note for voters`: Supplementary instructions for participants must not be filled in. - `Place`: Location information, you can not fill in it. - Option type: Select the voting type. Voting type description: - `Date + time`: Suitable for selecting a specific date and start time, such as "May 20, 19:00". - `Date only`: Suitable for selecting only dates, such as "Saturday" or "Sunday". - `Text options`: Suitable for non-time voting, such as "hot pot","barbecue" and "daily food". At least two options need to be added. After completing the filling, click `Create poll` to create a poll. ### 2. Save administrator link After the vote is successfully created, two links will be displayed on the page: - `Public link`: A public voting link used to send it to participants. - `Admin link`: Administrator link, which can only be saved by the initiator. Administrator links are very important. Anyone who gets an administrator link can end the poll, reopen the poll, or delete the poll. Whenly does not require login, nor will it help you retrieve administrator links through email, so please save them immediately after creating them. ### 3. Share with participants Just send the `Public link` to those who need to vote. Participants do not need to register an account or log in. After participants open the link, they can: - Enter your own name. - Select "Yes","May", or "No" for each option. - Save or modify your votes. - Add comments to explain your special situation. If voting settings allow anonymity, participants can also leave their names blank. ### 4. view results The voting page will display the voting status for each option. Whenly will give recommendations based on everyone's choices, making it easy to quickly determine which time or option is the most appropriate. If "Vote to See Results" is turned on when creating a poll, participants need to submit their own votes before they can see other people's choices. ### 5. ended the vote The initiator opens the `Admin link` to enter the administrator page. On the administrator page, you can: - Select a final option and end voting. - Re-open closed voting. - Change final options. - Delete votes and related data. After voting, participants can check the final results.
