RackVisual is a self-managed 3D cabinet visualization planning tool suitable for home laboratories, small computer rooms and data center asset planning. Applications can create multiple cabinets in the browser, add servers, switches, distribution frames, UPS, PDUs and other devices, and maintain device ports, network cables, power cables, VLANs, power supply loops and hardware information. ##Application scenarios - Plan equipment placement in a 10-inch or 19-inch cabinet. - Record the U bit, IP, system, hardware configuration and comment information where each device is located. - Visualize the connection relationship between network ports and power ports. - Manage the corresponding VLANs and power loops for each cabinet. - Upload GLTF / GLB device models and replenish devices not available in the built-in model library. ##Get started quickly 1. After opening the app, click `+ New` on the top toolbar. 2. Enter the cabinet name, select cabinet width of `19"` or `10"`, and fill in the cabinet height U. 3. Click `Create` to create the cabinet. After successful creation, the application will automatically switch to this cabinet. 4. Click `LIB` on the left to expand the device library. 5. Select a device model, enter the starting Slot to place, and click OK. 6. The device will appear in the 3D cabinet; if the target U bit is already occupied, the app will prompt 'Slot occupied'. ##Interface Description The top toolbar is used to manage cabinets: - `+ New`: Build a new cabinet. - Cabinet name button: Switch the current cabinet. - `e`: Rename the cabinet. - `x`: Delete the cabinet and the equipment and cables within it. The `LIB` on the left is the equipment library: - After clicking the equipment entry, enter Slot to add it to the current cabinet. - Devices with 3D models can choose the Front or Back placement direction. - GLTF / GLB Upload can upload custom device models. The bottom toolbar is used to switch operating modes: - Select: Select the device and view the details. - `Move`: Drag the device to another idle U position. - `Cable`: Connection port, suitable for recording network cables and power cables. - `Delete`: Delete the selected object. - `Front` / `Back` / `Free`: Switch between front, back or free viewing angles. The details panel on the right will appear after selecting the device: - `Info`: Edit name, OS, IP, VLAN and power loop. - Hardware: Records CPU, RAM, GPU and storage. - `Ports`: Check the number of ports, front and back locations and occupancy status. The `Net` in the upper right corner is used to maintain network and power data: - VLANs: Add or remove VLANs and set the color. - Circuits: Add or remove power circuits and record current specifications. ##Common operations ###New equipment placement First select the device in `LIB` on the left, and then enter the starting Slot. Slot is a U-digit number starting from the bottom of the cabinet. For example, if a 2U device is placed in Slot 5, it will occupy Slot 5 and Slot 6. ###Mobile devices Switch to the bottom `Move` mode and drag the device to the target U position in the 3D view. There must be enough consecutive vacancies at the target location. ###Connecting cables Switch to the bottom `Cable` mode and click on the two ports in turn. The network port generates a network connection, and the power port generates a power connection. ###Edit device information Click on the device in Select mode, and a details panel will appear on the right. After clicking Edit, you can modify the device name, OS, IP, VLAN, power circuit and hardware information. After completing, click Save. ###Upload a custom model Expand `LIB` on the left, click `Choose file...` in the `GLTF / GLB Upload` area, Select the.gltf or.glb file. After the upload is successful, the new model will appear in the device library. Upload just adds the model to the equipment library on the left and will not be automatically placed into the cabinet. After the upload is completed, first click the new model in the equipment library, then enter Slot and click `OK`, and the model will appear in the 3D cabinet.
