On the connection page, click `Plex` 2. The page will pop up or jump to the Plex official authorization page 3. Log in to your Plex account and confirm authorization 4. After authorization is completed, the browser will return to Cliparr's home page 5. If you have an available Plex Media Server under your account, Clipr will save the corresponding server connection information ####Method 2: Connect Jellyfin 1. Click `Jellyfin` on the connection page 2. Enter the Jellyfin server address, for example,`http://192.168.xx.xx:8096` 3. Enter the username and password for the **Jellyfin administrator account ** 4. After successful login, Clipr will save the server information and establish the current browser session 5. After entering the Sources page, you can perform connectivity checks on the media source ###Usage process 1. After logging in successfully, enter `Dashboard` 2. Wait for any device in your home to start playing a movie or episode 3. When the content being played appears in the `Currently Playing` list, click the corresponding entry 4. After entering the editor, drag the timeline to set the start and end positions of the clip 5. Export the video clip after the preview is confirmed ###Browser encoding compatibility instructions 1. Cliparr's editor and export link rely on the browser's local decoding capabilities, so not all Plex/Jellyfin raw media can be previewed directly 2. Currently, if the preview stream is HLS, Cliparr will automatically skip the preview stream and use the original source stream instead 3. If the original source stream itself uses encoding or encapsulation that the browser does not support, the editor may still fail to open it 4. Common high-risk formats include: - Videos: `HEVC/H.265`, part of `AV1`, a few high-bit deep or special profile `H.264` - Audio: DTS, TrueHD, multi-channel audio that is not supported by some browsers - Encapsulation: Some MKV variants or streaming containers that cannot be directly recognized by the browser 5. This type of situation is usually due to insufficient direct decoding capabilities of the current browser for the media 6. The more secure material is usually H.264 + AAC and uses a common MP4/WebM-compatible combination that is directly recognized by the browser
