Aeterna

Aeterna is a Dead Man's switch app. You compose messages and check in regularly, and if you stop checking in, the message will be automatically delivered to the recipient you designate. ##Core Concepts | concept | description | | -------------------- | -------------------------------- | | **Switch ** | A reserved message is bound to a recipient mailbox| | **Check In **| Tell the system "I'm still here" and reset the countdown | | **Trigger **| After the countdown returns to zero, the system automatically sends a message | ** Workflow **: Create a message → Regular check-in → Stop check-in → Automatic message sending ##Usage Guide ###Step 1: Configure the SMTP mail server Go to the **Settings** page and configure the email sending service: | field | Example (QQ Email)| Example (Gmail) | | ---------- | -------------- | ---------------- | | SMTP Host | `smtp.qq.com` | `smtp.gmail.com` | | SMTP Port | `587` | `587` | | Username | `Your QQ mailbox` | `Your Gmail` | | Password | `QQ mailbox authorization code`|`Application-specific password` | | From Email |`Your QQ mailbox` | `Your Gmail` | | From Name |`Your name` | `Your name` | Click **Test Connection** to confirm that the connection was successful, and then **Save Settings**. >ˇ QQ mailbox needs to enable the SMTP service in the mailbox settings and obtain the authorization code;Gmail needs to enable two-step verification and generate an application-specific password. --- ###Step 2: Create a Switch 1. Click **Create Switch** 2. Fill in: - ** Recipients Email**: recipient email - **Message Content**: The message content you want to leave - **Attachments**(Optional): Add attachment files - **Trigger After**: How long will it be triggered after you have not checked in? 3. The system automatically sends messages to the recipient's mailbox 2. The attachment is sent with the email 3. After sending is completed, attachments will be automatically deleted from the server **(privacy protection)
