Functional characteristics Multilingual support: Complete international support, with the interface available in English, Simplified Chinese (Simplified Chinese), Traditional Chinese (Traditional Chinese), Spanish, French and German. Mobile-first interface: A concise, responsive user interface designed for easy use on mobile phones. PWA support: Can be installed as a Progressive Web Application (PWA), providing a native application-like experience. In-browser book previewer: Preview e-books directly in the browser. Supports text-to-speech (TTS) function. Audiobook generation: Convert EPUB ebooks to M4B audiobooks with chapter tags using a configurable text-to-speech (TTS) provider (for example, Microsoft Edge TTS). The generated M4B file is fully compatible with audiobook servers such as Audiobook shelf. Online audiobook player: Listen to your generated M4B audiobook directly in your browser. Your listening progress will be automatically saved and synchronized. Conversation with AI: Have a conversation with your book. This feature allows you to chat with any book in the library, ask questions about content, get summaries, or discuss topics through an AI-driven interface. Calibre integration: Connect to your existing Calibre server to browse and search your library. KOReader Sync: Sync reading progress and reading time with your KOReader device. Smart Push to Kindle: When you send a book to your Kindle, the app automatically handles the format. If the book is already in EPUB format, it will be sent directly; if not, it will automatically convert the most preferred available format to EPUB based on your format preferences before sending it to ensure best compatibility. Push to Anx: Send books from your Calibre library directly to your personal Anx-reader device folder. Integrated WebDAV server: Each user gets his own separate, secure WebDAV folder that is compatible with Anx-reader and other WebDAV clients. MCP Server: A built-in spec compliant Model Context Protocol (MCP) server allows AI agents and external tools to securely interact with your library. User management: Simple, built-in user management system with different roles: Admin: Have full control over users, global settings and all books. Maintainer: You can edit all book metadata. Users: You can upload books, manage your own WebDAV library, MCP tokens, send books to Kindle, and edit your own uploaded books. Invitation registration only: Administrators can generate invitation codes to control user registration. This feature is enabled by default to prevent unauthorized registrations. Users can edit books they upload: Ordinary users can now edit metadata for books they upload. This feature relies on a custom column in Calibre called #library (type: text). When users upload books, their username is automatically saved to this field. Users can edit any book uploaded by themselves recorded in the #library field. Docker user recommendation: To enable this feature, make sure that your Calibre library has a custom column called #library (case-sensitive) with type text.
