Description

## Cypht Lightweight Open Source Email Client **Official Website:** https://cypht.org/ **Repository:** https://github.com/lazycatapps/cypht.git Cypht is a lightweight, modern open-source webmail client. It provides a clean and intuitive user interface, supports IMAP and SMTP protocols, and allows managing multiple email accounts in one place. ## Main Features - 📧 Support for multiple IMAP/SMTP email accounts - 🔐 OAuth2 authentication support (Outlook.com, Office 365) - 🌐 Responsive web interface for various devices - 🔒 Database storage for sessions and user configurations - 📱 Modern email reading and management experience - 🔍 Powerful email search functionality - 📎 Attachment download and management - 🎨 Clean and refreshing user interface ## Default Credentials - Username: admin - Password: admin **⚠️ Security Notice:** Please change the default password immediately after first login! ## Usage Instructions 1. Login with default credentials 2. Change the default password for security 3. Add your email accounts (IMAP/SMTP) 4. Start managing your emails **⚠️ Important: Save Your Settings!** - After making ANY changes in Cypht, you **MUST click the "Save" button** at the bottom of the page! - If you leave the page without saving, all changes will be lost - This includes: adding email accounts, changing passwords, adjusting display settings, etc. - You'll see "Settings saved" message when successfully saved ## OAuth2 Configuration To use OAuth2 authentication for Gmail or Outlook.com/Office 365: 1. Register an application on the respective platform to get Client ID and Client Secret 2. Configure OAuth2-related environment variables 3. Set the correct callback URL **⚠️ Important for Gmail:** When using Gmail OAuth2, **ensure that the LazyCAT platform can access Google services**: - If LazyCAT is deployed in regions like mainland China, it may not be able to access Google services directly - You need to configure a proxy or use other methods to ensure connectivity to Google APIs - Otherwise, OAuth2 authentication will fail and Gmail accounts cannot be added **⚠️ Important for Outlook:** When using Outlook/Office 365 OAuth2, you **MUST** configure these permissions in Azure Portal: - ⭐ `offline_access` (Required) - For obtaining Refresh Token, otherwise authentication fails after 1 hour - ⭐ `IMAP.AccessAsUser.All` (Required) - For IMAP mailbox access - `SMTP.Send` (Optional) - For sending emails **Without offline_access permission:** - ✅ Initial account addition succeeds - ❌ Access Token expires after 1 hour and cannot refresh, causing authentication errors - ❌ Frequent "Could not authenticate to the selected IMAP server" errors **After adding permissions, you MUST remove and re-add the email account for new permissions to take effect!** **Configuration Guides:** - Gmail OAuth2: https://www.cypht.org/cypht-enable-gmail-oauth/ - Outlook/Office 365 OAuth2: https://www.cypht.org/cypht-enable-outlook-and-office365-oauth/
