Vigil is an open source status page that you can host on your infrastructure, use to monitor all of your servers and applications, and is visible to your users (on a domain of your choice, such as status.example.com). In the context of microservices, monitoring applications and back-ends is very useful. If a node in your infrastructure fails, you will receive status change notifications in Slack channels, email, Twilio SMS, or/and XMPP.
